MENOPAUSE
Menopause is the medical term for the 12 month cessation of a woman's menstrual cycle, which is used to indicate that her ovaries are no longer releasing eggs, so no longer is fertile. The transition into post-fertility during this stage of menopause may include a psychological sense of grief or loss.

Once you enter menopause, your body produces much less oestrogen, an important women’s hormone. As a result, you may be at higher risk of developing certain health conditions, such as osteoporosis in women (weakened bones) or women’s heart disease. Those conditions are connected to oestrogen levels in your body.
